Many thanks to Eric Gaffney who has shared photos of his mother Joan Staines, from Southampton.
These were taken some time in 1944 I believe and our mum was based at Redenham House near Chute /Luggershall in Hampshire, just off the Andover Road A342. I know she used to visit the Bell Inn along Weyhill Road and the Hatchett Inn in Lower Chute, when allowed, at that time. She also said the work was hard!
