Happy 90th Birthday to HRH Queen Elizabeth II
In celebration of the Queen’s 90th Birthday, we re-post this image of 600 Bedfordshire land girls who paraded through Bedford on 14 February 1946 before a 19-year old Princess Elizabeth. This was her first public engagement on her own. Click here to see a video, hosted on the Bedfordshire Women’s Land Army website. Please note this will download a video on your computer.
