![Zeita Trott, aged 17, in her new land girl uniform in the summer of 1942 when she joined the Women's Land Army [WLA] in Bedfordshire. She was based at Bolnhurst hostel in the north of the county and travelled out in mobile gangs each day to work on local farms. She left on medical grounds in 1945 after injury at work.
